Best In State Offense: Tar Heels, Blue Devils, Camels piling up yardage, scores

Check out team offensive and scoring stats after three weeks of games

Campbell quarterback Hajj-Malik Williams and receiver VJ Wilkins shared CAA player of the week awards a couple of weeks ago. The duo have helped the Camels average more than 40 points per game thus far. (Photos courtesy Campbell University athletics).

NC Football News took the offensive and scoring stats from all 35 college football teams in the state, plugged them into a spreadsheet and sorted everything to see who’s moving the football and reaching the end zone — and who isn’t.

North Carolina and Duke, both 3-0 and nationally ranked, lead the way in terms of total yardage per game after three weeks of action. Campbell’s offense has found the end zone more than any other NC team. In all facets, Lenoir-Rhyne (3-0), Campbell (2-1) and Appalachian State (2-1) have the highest scoring averages, each recording 40-plus points per contest.
