The 2025 Campbell football schedule, released on Wednesday, will feature six home games, two match-ups against FBS opponents and another round of challenging CAA contests.
The Fighting Camels, under second-year head coach Braxton Harris, aim to build on the lessons from their 2024 campaign, which included one of the toughest schedules in the FCS ranks.
The season kicks off with a rare Friday night game on August 29 at Rhode Island. This marks the second consecutive year Campbell will open its season on the road and the second time in three years the Camels begin their campaign with a CAA opponent. Rhode Island finished 11-3 this past season, 7-1 in the CAA. The Rams fell to Mercer in the second round of the FCS playoffs.
In Week 2, Campbell will face in-state FBS power East Carolina on September 6, marking the Camels’ second trip to Greenville in the program’s modern era.
Later in the season, Campbell takes on another in-state FBS opponent, traveling to Raleigh to face NC State on October 4 in the first-ever meeting between the schools. This year will mark the first time Campbell has played two FBS opponents in the same season. The Camels traveled to UNC during the 2023 season.
The Camels will make their home debut on September 13 against Furman at Barker-Lane Stadium, kicking off a three-game homestand. Following the Furman matchup, Campbell hosts Bryant on September 20 in its first home CAA game of the season, before wrapping up the stretch on September 27 against Western Carolina.
Campbell’s October slate includes road trips to Hampton (October 11) and North Carolina A&T (October 25) and a home game against New Hampshire on October 18. After a late-season bye week, the Camels finish with a tough November stretch, hosting William & Mary on November 8 and Elon on November 15, before closing the regular season at Towson on November 22.
The Camels finished the 2024 season with a 3-9 overall record and a 1-7 mark in CAA play. Campbell’s lone CAA win came against North Carolina A&T.
