Football: Methodist University Monarchs vs. Brevard College Tornados

Methodist football quarterback Brandon Bullins crossed the 10,000-yard plateau in career passing yards during last Saturday’s contest against Brevard.

According to the school, he is the first in the USA South Conference (Division III) to achieve that milestone.

Bullins, a senior from Kernersville who transferred to Methodist from Fairmont State after the 2018 season, threw for 183 yards and two touchdowns against Brevard in a 52-20 loss. That performance put him at 10,181 yards for his career. He also has 79 touchdowns across 40 games with the Monarchs.

Methodist (1-5, 1-2 conference) still has four games to play in the regular season, starting with a trip to Belhaven (Miss.) this weekend.

So far this season, Bullins has completed 139-of-239 throws for 1,322 yards and 11 scoring strikes (against 10 interceptions).

Bullins’ career high for a single game came in 2021 against NC Wesleyan, when he threw for 488 yards and three TDs. Bullins was the school’s male scholar-athlete of that year with a 4.0 GPA during both the fall and spring semesters.

He is majoring in sports management with a business minor.
