Barton, Chowan and UNC Pembroke will join the revived Conference Carolinas football league in 2025, and the three schools learned this week some of their future non-conference foes.

Conference Carolinas has entered into a scheduling agreement with the Gulf South Conference for the 2025 and 2026 seasons. The result will be 18 games between the two leagues over the next two years.

Barton and Chowan will each play in five of those games, three next year and two in 2026. UNC Pembroke will play two games, one each season.

Football will return to Conference Carolinas for the first time since 1974. Other Conference Carolinas football teams include Erskine, Ferrum, North Greenville and Shorter. Both Conference Carolinas and the Gulf South will be part of Super Region 2.

Barton is playing the South Atlantic Conference this season. Chowan has been a member of the Gulf South for two years as it moves from the CIAA to Conference Carolinas. UNCP currently competes in the Mountain East Conference.
