Catawba football signs more than 50 in latest recruiting class

More than half of Indians’ prospects hail from North Carolina schools

Tyler Haines announced his second recruiting class as head coach of the Catawba Indians on Wednesday afternoon. The Indians hauled in more than 50 prospects, including 34 from North Carolina.

“The 2024 signing class will help us take the next step as a program,” Haines said in a release. “It is filled with student-athletes who will represent Catawba culture in the classroom, in the community, and on the field! This group understands and accepts the expectations of Catawba Football.”

The class includes five transfers, including one from Livingstone and one from North Carolina A&T. Catawba finished 5-6 a year ago in Haines debut.
