IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference (AAC) has officially unveiled its complete 111-game football schedule for 2025, including 56 conference matchups and a stacked nonconference slate featuring top-ranked opponents.
The 2025 calendar includes seven games against teams ranked in the final AP Top 25 of 2024, including four matchups against College Football Playoff teams.
Among the highlights:

✅ Big-time nonconference games vs. SEC, ACC, Big Ten & Big 12 teams
✅ Eight straight weeks of nationally televised prime-time matchups
✅ A flexible late-season schedule leading into the AAC Championship Game
The 2025 American Athletic Conference Football Championship will be held on Friday, Dec. 5, or Saturday, Dec. 6, at the home site of the highest-seeded team.

🔥 Week 1 Rivalries: ECU at NC State, App State vs. Charlotte
The season opens with a major in-state showdown as East Carolina travels to NC State on Thursday, Aug. 28, a rematch of ECU’s 26-21 Military Bowl win over the Wolfpack last December.
Meanwhile, Charlotte and Appalachian State battle in Bank of America Stadium on Friday, Aug. 29 in the Duke’s Mayo Classic, continuing their growing in-state rivalry.
