The NFL has released the full 2025 schedule for the Carolina Panthers, and it features marquee home games, a return to Monday Night Football and a compelling Week 1 storyline between a pair of recent top-10 draft picks.

Carolina will open the regular season on the road for the fourth straight year, facing the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sept. 7. That matchup will feature two of the league’s most electric rookies: Panthers’ first-round pick Tetairoa McMillan (WR, Arizona) and Jacksonville’s No. 2 overall selection Travis Hunter — a former Colorado star expected to anchor the Jaguars’ secondary.

The Panthers haven’t had much luck in season openers, going 11-19 all-time and losing five of their last six. But here’s a fun stat: the only two times Carolina made the Super Bowl, they started the season against Jacksonville (and beat the Jaguars both times).

🏠 Home Opener & Marquee Matchups

  • The home opener is scheduled for Week 3 (Sept. 21) against division rival Atlanta Falcons.
  • The Dallas Cowboys come to town in Week 6, followed by the Buffalo Bills and Josh Allen in Week 8.
  • The Los Angeles Rams, winners of the 2022 Super Bowl, visit in Week 13.
  • The Tampa Bay Buccaneers show up twice in the final three weeks — including a Week 16 clash in Charlotte just days before Christmas.

🏈 Panthers Back on Monday Night Football

Carolina will appear on Monday Night Football in Week 12 (Nov. 24) at the San Francisco 49ers, marking their first MNF appearance since 2023. The Panthers are 10–8 all-time on Monday nights.

🕰️ Preseason & Bye Week

  • The Panthers will play three preseason games, including two at home: Cleveland (Aug. 8) and Pittsburgh (Aug. 21).
  • The team’s bye week falls in Week 14 (Dec. 7).

The final two weeks of the regular season — Week 17 vs. Seattle and Week 18 at Tampa Bay — have TBD start times as part of the league’s flexible scheduling model.

Carolina finished 5-11 last season under head coach David Canales and is hoping its youth movement, including rookie WR McMillan, can spark a turnaround in 2025.
