MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Football program led by second-year head coach Paul Johnson announced the 2024 Football Schedule last week.

The Hawks, heading into their second and final season in the Gulf South Conference, feature five home games this season as Chowan hosts the other half of the league’s members.

To start off the season, Chowan makes the shortest trip of the season across the swamp to take on Elizabeth City State on September 7.  This will be the first meeting between the programs since the Hawks left the CIAA in 2022 and the first non-conference meeting as the teams had played 14 previous times in league action.

Chowan will take on Barton for the third consecutive season under the lights and a preview of Conference Carolinas football action for 2025.  The home opener is slated for 6 p.m. on September 14.
