If you’re from North Carolina, you probably know about the Big Four Tournament – a now defunct early season hoops showcase involving Wake Forest, UNC, NC State and Duke.
North Carolina’s D3 football schools are waging their own version of a “Big Four Tournament” over the final two weeks of the regular season.
Today’s round (Nov. 8) featured Greensboro visiting North Carolina Wesleyan and Brevard traveling to Methodist, with the road teams prevailing in both contests. All four schools compete in the USA South Conference.
Our fifth NCAA Division III school, Guilford College, lost its home finale to Averett. The Quakers play in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.
