Gardner-Webb football added a trio of prospects from the Class of 2025 this week — two standouts from North Carolina and a defensive stalwart from Ohio.
Here’s a look at the latest additions to the Runnin’ Bulldogs recruiting class being built by first-year coach Cris Reisert and staff:
Sean Brady | Cornelius | Hough HS
Wide Receiver | 5-9, 165
The speedy wideout collected second-team all-conference honors last season. He caught 36 passes for 449 yards and five touchdown, per MaxPreps.com stats. He announced his commitment to the Bulldogs on social media July 21.
Brady also reported offers from North Carolina A&T, UNC Pembroke, Marshall, Eastern Kentucky, Maine, East Tennessee State and Alabama A&M. He camped at Mercer in June and recorded a time of 4.47 in the 40-yard dash.

“Sean’s talent shines through when you take a look at his highlight film,” Prep Redzone NC wrote this past spring, while listing him among the top returning receivers in the Charlotte area. “He is dynamic out of the slot receiver position, making catches over the middle with no fear and getting north/south quickly with good speed. He also plays some out of the backfield and can win against linebackers in the passing game with ease.”
Jovon Wright | Raleigh | Rolesville HS
Defensive Back | 6-0, 180
Wright began his career at South Garner before transferring to Rolesville. He primarily plays strong safety and free safety. Wright had 69 tackles in the regular season a year ago, helping Rolesville to a 9-1 record and a No. 1 seed for the 4A playoffs.
Wright is a two-time all-conference performer and has a GPA of 3.1.
He also listed offers from Hampton and Maine. He camped at Duke, Old Dominion and UCF this summer.
Carter Isaacs | Hamilton, Ohio | Hamilton HS
Defensive Back | 6-1, 185
New Gardner-Webb coach Cris Reisert has roots in Ohio. He was born in Cincinnati, played at Ohio Dominican and coached the past five seasons at Tiffin University. In Isaacs, Reisert and the Bulldogs will be getting an honors student and a ball-hawk safety with a penchant for bringing players to the turf.
Isaacs recorded 107 tackles in 12 games last season for Hamilton High, which went 8-4. He returned an interception for a touchdown and deflected five passes. He collected honorable mention all-Southwest District while maintaining a GPA of 4.31.
Isaacs made 59 tackles as a sophomore, picking up second-team all-conference and honorable mention all-state recognition.
“One of the most balanced young men I’ve had the pleasure of coaching,” Hamilton coach Arvie Crouch said of Isaacs on social media this week. “Fierce competitor on the field and the most mature young man you could ever meet. Not to mention he carries over a 4.0 GPA!”
