Several week five college football games involving North Carolina schools have been effected by Hurricane Helene’s passage through the western part of the state.

Here are the latest schedule updates. Check our Twitter/X page throughout the weekend for further announcements.

Liberty at Appalachian State: The schools agreed to cancel the Saturday afternoon contest due to heavy flooding in Boone. Both schools have said the contest will not be rescheduled though they share open dates in October.

Davidson at Presbyterian: This contest has been moved to Sunday at 5 p.m. and now will be played at Davidson Stadium.

Tusculum at Lenoir-Rhyne: The South Atlantic Conference contest has been postponed due to power outages in Hickory. The SAC announced on Saturday morning that the contest has been tentatively moved to Sunday at 3 p.m.

Mars Hill at Wingate: This SAC game also has been postponed, with no make-up time announced as of Saturday morning

Tennessee Tech at Gardner-Webb: Despite power outages in the Boiling Springs area, this game will go on but will start at 2 p.m. instead of the original 4 p.m. kick time.

Johnson C. Smith at Bluefield State: Hurricane Helene’s effects reached into southern West Virginia as well, knocking out power to Bluefield. Bluefield State’s homecoming contest has been moved to Salem, Va., and will start at 6 p.m. Salem Stadium is home to the upcoming CIAA championship game in November.

Brevard at Maryville: The D3 contest has been moved to Sunday at 2 p.m., according to Brevard athletics.

St. Andrews at Lindsey Wilson: The homecoming game for Lindsey Wilson was canceled “due to the remnants of Hurricane Helene and travel restraints for the St. Andrews team,” the Kentucky school announced Friday.
