Duke has landed one of the top wideouts in the state for the Class of 2026, as Myers Park (Charlotte) junior Brody Keefe announced his commitment to the Blue Devils on Monday.

Staying home! Duke family let’s work,” Keefe told On3’s Hayes Fawcett, who broke the story of his commitment.

Keefe ranks No. 21 in our NC Football News 2026 composite player rankings and is considered a rising star with major upside. The 6-foot-3, 191-pound receiver caught 32 passes for 408 yards and five touchdowns in 2024 — including a 50-yard scoring play — and added a 10-yard touchdown pass.

He becomes the first North Carolina prep standout to commit to Duke’s 2026 class, which currently includes six players. Among them is quarterback Terry Walker III from Hamilton Southeastern (Fishers, IN), who pledged to the Blue Devils in April.

Every FBS school in North Carolina extended an offer to Keefe, who held more than 30 D-I offers overall. His top eight, shared with Rivals in March, featured Duke as the only in-state program, along with Georgia, Florida, Notre Dame, Michigan, Tennessee, Ohio State and South Carolina.

“Although he’s a quiet kid, he’s uber competitive,” Myers Park head coach Chris James told HighSchoolOT back in early 2024. “He already handles himself like a pro at such a young age.”

Keefe transferred to Myers Park from Marvin Ridge ahead of his sophomore year and has continued to grow into a complete receiver. Prep RedZone named him the No. 1 WR in Mecklenburg County this spring. His 3.91 GPA and commitment to his craft helped separate him from the pack.

Keefe is the third 2026 Myers Park prospect to announce a college decision. Edge rusher Rodney Dunham has committed to Notre Dame, while defensive back Camden Portis has pledged to Miami. 2025 wide receiver Mauriangelo Skanes signed with Emory & Henry, while Keefe’s fellow 2026 wide receiver teammate Chaz Portis has also drawn Division I interest.
