The Colonial Athletic Association will officially kick off its 2023 football season next Tuesday, July 25 with a virtual Media Day event.

All 15 head coaches from CAA teams, plus two players from each school, will present via Zoom and take questions from the media. The day begins with the much-anticipated release of the preseason all-conference team and predicted order of finish.

CAA Football will be providing team‐by‐team breakdowns throughout the day on its social media outlets, and clips from the press conferences will be available on CAASports.com as well as social media.

NC A&T and Campbell University join the CAA this season. Elon also is part of the league from North Carolina. The rest of the conference includes Maine, Monmouth, Villanova, Delaware, Stony Brook, Albany, Hampton, Richmond, William & Mary, Rhode Island, Towson and New Hampshire.

A&T will be the first team from North Carolina to meet the media, at 11:15 a.m. First-year coach Vincent Brown will be joined by center Cesar Minarro and cornerback Karon Prunty.

Elon will go at 12:45 p.m., with defensive back Bo Sanders and offensive lineman Jabril Williams joining head coach Tony Trisciani. Campbell will follow at 1 p.m. Coach Mike Minter, linebacker CJ Tillman and quarterback Hajj-Malik will comprise the Camels’ contingent.

William & Mary and New Hampshire both finished 7-1 to lead the CAA this season. Elon, the only CAA to best the Tribe a year ago, finished 6-2 in the league standings.

Elon, Campbell and NC A&T all will begin their seasons on Thursday, Aug. 31. Elon visits Wake Forest. Campbell draws William & Mary at home, while A&T travels to UAB.
