The next-to-last weekend of the North Carolina high school football season will bring Thursday night lights along with the usual Friday night excitement.
The NCHSAA football playoffs have reached the regional final round for the 2A-7A classifications, and with cold rain and a possible wintry mix in the forecast, seven of the 12 state semifinal games have been moved to Thursday night. The remaining five will stay in their traditional Friday time slot.
This page will track scores and updates from all 12 regional finals being played from Murphy to Jacksonville. Once every game is complete, the full lineup for state championship weekend (Dec. 11-13) across all eight NCHSAA classifications will be set.
