The 2025 NCHSAA 7A football playoffs may not feature the state’s very largest schools, but they could include its deepest and most balanced field. Grimsley, last year’s 4A state champion, enters the post-season unbeaten and ranked in the national top 20. Other powerhouses such as Cardinal Gibbons, Cleveland, Weddington and Independence make 7A one of the toughest brackets in North Carolina.
