The North Carolina High School Athletic Association has announced the venues for the 2025 fall sports championships — and the football finals are headed to three North Carolina college stadiums.

The NCHSAA Football Championships will be played at Kenan Stadium (UNC Chapel Hill), Durham County Memorial Stadium and Helen & Leonard Moretz Stadium on the campus of Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory.

Kenan Stadium will host four games, bringing its all-time total to 88 championship contests dating back to 1929. Durham County Memorial Stadium and Lenoir-Rhyne’s Moretz Stadium will each host two title games, marking their first time serving as championship venues.

Moretz Stadium (capacity 7,500) is home to the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears, while Durham County Memorial Stadium (capacity 8,500) serves as home field for the Shaw Bears and will also host the 2025 CIAA Championship Game in a few weeks.

In recent years, the NCHSAA has rotated championship games among several ACC and FBS venues, including NC State’s Carter-Finley Stadium and Duke’s Wallace Wade Stadium. Classifications and kickoff times for each championship site will be announced later.
