North Carolina College Football Schedule Week 11: Full List of Games, Times & TV Info (Nov. 6-8)

ECU seeks 1st win over Charlotte 49ers; WCU continues SoCon title pursuit; Can UNC win again?

Charlotte football players, clad in all gold uniforms, celebrate a big play against East Carolina during their 2024 showdown.

Week 10 of the North Carolina college football season is going to be hard to top for teams from the Triangle area:

  • NC State stunned previously unbeaten Georgia Tech, knocking the Jackets out of the top 10 and possibly derailing their ACC title bid
  • Duke won at Clemson for the first time since 1980, orchestrating a shrewd 2-point play in the final minute to steal one in Death Valley
  • UNC rediscovered the win column, dominating Syracuse in the second half for a pleasing 27-10 triumph.

Things weren’t bad, either, if your rooted for:

This past weekend’s results gave new life to the Wolfpack’s 2025 season, lifted Duke back into ACC title talk, kept Western Carolina and Johnson C. Smith on track in their respective conference title bids and decided several bragging rights battles for the next year.

What to do for an encore? We’re on to Week 11!

Below is the full North Carolina college football schedule, from ACC and FBS teams to FCS, D2, D3 and Louisburg, our lone junior college squad. We’re tracking 25 games in all, including one game on Thursday and one on Sunday.

Circle Your Calendars: A Six-Pack of Big Games

Georgia Southern at Appalachian State
Thursday, Nov. 6 | 7:30 p.m. | ESPN2
This is the perfect Thursday college football setup: long-time rivals from way back in the FCS days locking up on a chilly autumn night in Boone. App State has been reeling a bit in recent weeks, though, and questions remain about who starts at quarterback, per coach Dowell Loggains.

Charlotte at East Carolina
Saturday, Nov. 8 | 3 p.m. | ESPN+
The 49ers have owned the whole storied history of this intense North Carolina gridiron rivalry. OK, that history only spans two games (2023 and 2024), but Charlotte can, at least a few more days, say they’ve never lost to the Pirates in football. ECU will be heavily favored, though, to end the misery to their new cross-state nemesis.

Mercer at Western Carolina
Saturday, Nov. 8 | 2:30 p.m. | ESPN+ and Nexstar
Everything has been turning up purple for the Catamounts since their 0-3 start. WCU has won six straight, improved to 5-0 for the first time EVER in Southern Conference play and now will host the defending league champs on homecoming with the chance to take over first place.

Livingstone at Johnson C. Smith
Saturday, Nov. 8 | 1 p.m. | CIAA Sports Network
Johnson C. Smith overcame a huge CIAA hurdle last week, defeating Fayetteville 17-14 when Bobby Smith plowed in for a touchdown with 13 seconds remaining. Now comes a showdown against the Golden Bulls’ oldest rival (from the 1800s!) and the team that foiled the ending to their 2024 campaign. This should be a rock fight, with two of the top defenses in the league matching wits.

Stanford at North Carolina
Saturday, Nov. 8 | 4:30 p.m. | The CW
Suddenly folks are talking about Bill Belichick and UNC football in a much more positive light. Belichick will face off against a former fellow NFL coach this weekend when Ron Rivera (formerly of the Panthers/Commanders) brings Stanford across the country for must-see TV on The CW (a network usually good to Triangle teams).

Wake Forest at Virginia
Saturday, Nov. 8 | 7 p.m. | ESPN
The Deacs went from darlings to duds in a week’s time, falling flat against a sinking Florida State squad this past Saturday. Wake has the chance to lock up bowl eligibility and create further chaos in the ACC race this weekend against the surprise leaders of the conference.
