Twenty-one players from North Carolina’s Division II football programs earned D2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Super Region honors, including eight selections from Wingate, the most of any program in the state.
UNC Pembroke, Barton, Lenoir-Rhyne, Catawba, Mars Hill and Johnson C. Smith also placed players on the Super Region 1 or Super Region 2 teams, announced Thursday, Dec. 4.
The awards, voted on by sports information directors across each region, recognize the top performers from the 2025 season. First-team selections automatically advance to the ballot for D2CCA All-America consideration.

Barton’s Keno Jones and UNC Pembroke’s Isi Etute were voted Conference Carolinas Co-Defensive Players of the Year. Wingate’s Jaylen Himes and Elihu Lipscomb were South Atlantic Conference Offensive and Defensive Freshman of the Year, respectively.
North Carolina was well represented among all-region offensive linemen. Jamari Mason from Johnson C. Smith was voted CIAA Lineman of the Year. Catawba’s Avery Swinton was voted the Jacobs Blocking Trophy award winner for the SAC, while UNC Pembroke’s Hunter Turner was voted Co-Offensive Lineman of the Year for Conference Carolinas.
One intriguing omission from the all-region list: Livingstone edge rusher Kenyon Garner, who led the nation in tackles for loss and was third in sacks. Garner was not included as an all-region pick despite being voted CIAA Defensive Player of the Year.
Super Region 1 Players of the Year were Virginia Union running back Curtis Allen and Franklin Pierce University linebacker Geno Facchetti. Super Region 2 Players of the Year were West Florida quarterback Marcus Stokes and Central State linebacker Domonique Davis.
