✅ North Carolina D3 Wrap-Up

Quick-hit recaps and top performances from across the D3 ranks on Oct. 25:

🏆 Biggest Win of the Day

With North Carolina Wesleyan and Methodist losing today, Brevard takes this honor, earning a comfortable triumph after losing a few heartbreakers earlier in the season. The Tornados led 20-7 at halftime and tacked on single touchdowns in the third and fourth quarters. Brevard used a punishing ground game, which accounted for 238 yards and three TDs. The Tornado defense created storms in the Greensboro backfield, accounting for nine sacks.

💪 Standout Performance

North Carolina Wesleyan’s leading rusher, Nahjiir Seagraves (900 yards – tops in North Carolina all levels), did not play Saturday. But the Battling Bishops got a stellar rushing performance from Trae Sechrest, who carried 31 times for 194 yards.

The sophomore from Mooresville (Lake Norman HS) only had one carry last season for eight yards. He enjoyed his first 100-yard performance Saturday, averaging 6.3 yards per attempt. Sechrest’s previous best had been an 83-yard effort against Averett in the opener. He has 385 yards and one touchdown for the season.
