Chris Stewart, a 6-foot-4, 215-pound defensive end from Andrews High School (S.C.), has committed to Elon University.
The Class of 2026 standout announced his commitment on April 12 after visiting campus for the Phoenix’s spring football game. He is Elon’s first known verbal pledge in the 2026 recruiting cycle.
🔥 Breakout Junior Year
Stewart turned heads in 2024 with a monster junior season — racking up 93 tackles, 31.5 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks, 4 pass breakups and 2 forced fumbles. His performance earned him First-Team All-State honors from the South Carolina Football Coaches Association, as well as repeat All-Region honors in 6-AA.
Though primarily a defensive end, Stewart also chipped in on offense with four receptions, 41 yards, and a touchdown.
