Enjoyed a career day in a win over Hampton, piling up 177 yards on 24 carries. Added 159 yards on 34 totes against Gardner-Webb. Other stellar rushing games included 145 yards and three TDs against William & Mary and 136 yards against Delaware. Elon handed William & Mary its only regular season loss of the season. Hampton scored the go-ahead touchdown with 1:07 left in a 35-31 win. Elon trailed 28-10 at the half.
Transferred to Elon from Virginia Tech, where he did not see the field … Led Georgetown Prep to a 24-5 record over his final three years in high school, earning 2019 conference player of the year honors … Goes by the nickname Bam Bam.
“He’s strong. He can make you miss,” Richmond coach Russ Huesman said prior to last season’s meeting with Elon. “I don’t see one guy bringing him down by himself very often, if ever. I’m not sure why he didn’t play at Tech. He looks like an ACC back.”
Hampton scored the winning touchdown in double overtime. He finished the 30-27 victory with 93 rushing yards.
