Recruiting: All-state Texas RB Caiden Collins picks Davidson

Standout back from Frisco rushed for 1,411 yards, 25 touchdowns in 2023

A private schools all-state running back from Frisco, Texas, has given a verbal commitment to Davidson football.

Caiden Collins, a senior from Prestonwood Christian Academy, announced his pledge to the Wildcats via social media on Sept. 23. Davidson plays in the FCS Pioneer Football League.

Collins rushed for 1,411 yards on 182 carries in 2023. The 5-8, 185-pounder scored 25 touchdowns and did not have a fumble. He has a 3.8 GPA and serves as one of Prestonwood’s team captains this season.

Collins rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown in Prestonwood’s Sept. 13 game against Bastrop. Collins’ team won the game 31-14. Collins had 63 yards and a score in a Sept. 6 contest against All Saints, a 31-27 loss.

Collins also held an offer from San Diego, which competes in the PFL with Davidson.
