College football recruiting never ends, and multiple programs in the Old North State picked up commitments this week. The recent commit list was heavy on offensive linemen.

Here are details:

Austin Lett | OL | Commit: Brevard

5-10 | 270 | Smithfield

A visit to a recent Brevard football game convinced the North Johnston High standout to pledge to the D3 Tornados program. Lett camped at Brevard over the summer. He also reported an offer from St. Andrews.

Lett recently was invited to play in the upcoming Hawaii Tiki Bowl in December. He will be one of five players from North Carolina to compete in the showcase game.

Lett had five pancake blocks through the early part of North Johnston’s schedule. The Panthers are 5-2 entering this weekend’s action.

Brevard competes in the D3 USA South conference and has a 3-1 overall record. The Tornados have been the top D3 program in our state the past few years.

Brady Sakowitz | OT | Commit: NC State

6-6 | 295 | Richmond, Va.

The Trinity Episcopal School standout, a three-star prospect from the Class of 2025, announced for the Wolfpack on Oct. 14. He reported offers from Duke, Charlotte, Appalachian State and East Carolina, as well as programs like Miami, Maryland, Pittsburgh, VIrginia, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Marshall.

“He is extremely physical and is often driving defenders 5+ yards downfield before a pancake,” wrote Ethan McDowell of The Wolfpacker.

Walton told The Wolfpacker he was swayed by visits to NC State this fall. “It just felt like home. It felt like that’s where I was supposed to be. I was talking to my parents, and if I had every offer in the world, would I still want to go there? And I said, yes.”

Takhyian Whitset | OT | Commit: NC State

6-5 | 265 | Nashville, TN

The senior four-star offensive lineman from Antioch High was committed the Purdue from April until earlier this month. He is considered the No. 20 offensive tackle in the country, according to On3. He also held offers from Florida State and Virginia Tech among more than a dozen other schools.

Whitset gave hints about where he was going to commit during a recent game, sporting a Wolfpack towel as part of his uniform. He took an official visit to NC State earlier this month.

Kendall Walton | OT | Commit: East Carolina

6-5 | 300 | Lamar, SC

The senior from Lamar High choose the Pirates over FCS offers that included Campbell, Gardner-Webb, Maine and The Citadel, according to Hoist The Colours, an ECU recruiting site in the 247Sports network. He announced his commitment on Tuesday.

“I feel like ECU is a place I would love to be for 4-5 years. I felt like the coaches and players were like my second family,” Walton told Hoist The Colours.

Trishstin Glass | WR | Commit: Wake Forest

6-4 | 185 | Class of 2025 | Copperas Cove, TX

The three-star prospect recently decommitted from Colorado State. He visited Wake Forest earlier this month and announced his commitment to the Deacs on social media this week.

He held offers from more than a dozen schools, including new ACC member California, Arizona State, Memphis and Texas State. Kentucky and Kansas also showed interest.

Playing for 6A Copperas Cove High, Glass has recorded 36 catches for 735 yards and nine touchdowns through his first five games this season.

Glass is the second Wake Forest wide receiver commit from west of the Mississippi. Jack Foley of Bend, Oregon, recently announced for the Deacs as well.
