UNC Pembroke’s Isi Etute and Hunter Turner, and Barton’s Keno Jones earned top player honors as Conference Carolinas released its 2025 football all-conference team on Thursday.

Etute and Jones shared Co-Defensive Player of the Year recognition, while Turner was voted a Co-Offensive Lineman of the Year. Conference Carolinas relaunched football this fall as a conference-sponsored sport after a 51-year absence. League coaches voted on this year’s awards.

Etute led Conference Carolinas with 15 tackles-for-loss, helping UNC Pembroke post an 8-3 season and advance to the Conference Carolinas Bowl. He also earned five sacks and 50 total tackles.

Jones paced the league with 114 total tackles, including 57 solo stops and 57 assists. He averaged 10.4 tackles per game for the Bulldogs, who finished 3-8.

Turner, who earned honorable mention all-conference in 2024 when UNCP played in the Mountain East, helped power an offense that scored 31.6 points per game and rolled up 420.1 yards per contest.

All told, UNC Pembroke put 14 players on the all-conference team, including first teamers Turner, Etute, Que Kennedy (WR), JaQuan Albright (WR), Jadin Baptist (LB) and Donovan Woods (DB).
