Gardner-Webb heads south for Barbecue Bowl showdown at Charleston Southern

Gardner-Webb, fresh off a near upset of a top-10 opponent, will head to Charleston Southern on Saturday for the renewal of the Barbecue Bowl.

The Bulldogs (2-6, 1-3) and Buccaneers (1-7, 0-5) will kick off at 2 p.m. The contest will be broadcast on ESPN+.

The stakes go beyond the field: the winner will claim the North-South BBQ Trophy and, maybe most importantly, barbecue bragging rights, as the losing side is tasked with providing a victory feast—either North Carolina or South Carolina style.
