Hunter Clark, a 6-foot-6, 282-pound offensive lineman from Purnell Swett High School, has committed to Campbell University, becoming the second in-state Class of 2026 lineman to pledge to the Camels in the past 48 hours.
Clark, a high-academic prospect with a 4.2 GPA, made his decision public on Monday. Campbell was the first Division I program to offer him, extending the opportunity in January. He later visited Buies Creek for the Camels’ spring game in March and left with a lasting impression.
“Loved every minute of it! Appreciate the invite and the hospitality,” Clark posted on social media after the visit. “Can’t wait to be back.”
Recently named by Prep Redzone as the top returning offensive lineman in Eastern North Carolina (910 and 252 area codes), Clark is earning attention for more than just his size. He was a first-team All-County selection by The Robesonian, and in March, he earned the Leadership Award at the Carolinas Coaches Combine held at Princeton High School.
Clark has also been invited to the Hawaii Tiki Bowl in Honolulu this December — a national all-star event for high school seniors.
📣 Clark is the second in-state commit for Campbell’s 2026 class, joining Hickory High’s Rahshad Swinton, a 6-5, 315-pound lineman who plays both tackle and nose guard.
