Louisburg College quarterback Dylan Trevillian has been named the NJCAA Football DIII offensive player of the week.
The sophomore threw four touchdown passes in the Hurricanes’ 44-22 home victory over Hocking College on Saturday afternoon. He finished 12-of-20 passing for 264 yards.
Louisburg, North Carolina’s only junior college football program, improved to 2-1 with Saturday’s win.
Trevillian completed touchdown passes to Quran Miller, Vontrez Burch and Jabari Rone. Keegan William hauled in a 60-yard reception from the Hurricanes’ signal caller.
For the season, Trevillian has completed 41-of-67 passes for 588 yards and six TDs. He has thrown one interception and has a pass efficiency rating of 161.5. He is ranked fifth in passing yards in NJCAA D3.
Trevillian went 13-for-19 with a touchdown in the opener against the Georgia Warhawks. He also had two rushes for 27 yards and a 15-yard TD scamper.
Louisburg will play at home again this Saturday, hosting Sussex County Community College. The ‘Canes play home games at Louisburg High School.
Louisburg also rushed for 227 yards in the win over Hocking. Zykeem Brooks and Mekiaun Davis both rushed for touchdowns. Jesse Wiens kicked a field goal and booted five extra points.
Marcus Goodloe led the defense with seven tackles. Keaton Braddock recorded 2.5 sacks. Cameron Wallace had one sack and two tackles-for-loss.
