It wasn’t quite “Rout 66,” but it was close. North Carolina Central erupted for a school-record 765 yards of total offense, and Chris Mosley accounted for five touchdowns as the Eagles blasted rival North Carolina A&T 62-20 in Greensboro on Saturday night.

The Eagles have now won four straight in a series that dates back more than a century. Coach Trei Oliver’s team topped 60 points against the Aggies for the second year in a row after last season’s 66-24 victory in Durham.

Quarterback Walker Harris fueled the NCCU attack with 380 yards and three touchdown passes on 22-of-29 accuracy. Mosley ran for 168 yards and three scores while adding two more touchdowns as a receiver, finishing with 258 total yards.

The North Carolina Central defense forced three turnovers and held the Aggies in check after halftime, turning what was expected to be a heated rivalry clash into a runaway. NCCU improved to 3-2, while NC A&T fell to 1-4.
