Kamden Sixkiller threw for 450 yards and three touchdowns, and No. 13 Campbell continued its historic season with a 35-6 win at Maine on Saturday.

The Camels improved to 7-1 overall, 4-0 in CAA play – setting a new school record for victories. Campbell had reached six wins four different times, most recently in 2019.

Sixkiller, a senior from Norman, OK, completed 29-of-44 passes and delivered at least one completion to 13 different teammates.

Wide receiver Jyron Waiters also had a big day to complement his quarterback. The junior hauled in seven passes for 155 yards. He scored a touchdown on a 59-yard play in the fourth quarter as Campbell put an exclamation mark on its latest win.

It took a little time for the Camels to get the offense fully untracked. Campbell led 7-6 after one quarter, getting a 53-yard touchdown reception from Sixkiller to Jon Gullette. An Ethan Lawrence 10-yard run with 1:43 to go before halftime pushed the margin to 14-6.

Ambrose Brady notched a 29-yard TD reception in the third period. Gullette scored on a 1-yard rush as the lead grew to 28-6, then Waiters added the final touchdown.

Campbell has now won five games in a row since losing at Florida in September. Coach Braxton Harris’ team is one of only two CAA teams with unbeaten conference records. Monmouth improved to 5-0 in league play with a 49-13 win at Hampton.

Bryant (5-3, 3-1) suffered its first CAA loss Saturday, dropping a 27-17 game at Stony Brook.

What’s Next for Campbell?

Campbell entered the season having never appeared in the FCS Top 25. Now, it will be interesting to see if the team can crack the Top 10 this week in either major FCS poll.

Campbell has four games left in the regular season and so is already guaranteed of having a winning record for 2026. Next Saturday (Oct. 31) brings a Halloween trip to UAlbany (5-3, 3-1). Stony Brook (5-3, 3-1) then comes to Buies Creek on Nov. 7.

The home stretch won’t be easy. After a game at Elon, the Camels close at home against Monmouth.
