National recruiting outlet On3 released its initial “On300” rankings for the Class of 2027 this week. Ten North Carolina high school football rising juniors crashed the list, including four in the top 100 and nine in the top 200.
The top 2027 player in North Carolina, according to On3’s initial rankings, is Rashad Streets from Raleigh’s Millbrook High.
Streets, an edge rusher, ranks 63rd nationally. He’s considered a four-star prospect by On3. Streets boasts an impressive stat sheet with 35.5 tackles-for-loss and 26 sacks as a sophomore. He blocked four punts and finished with 123 total tackles.

Just behind Streets in On3’s North Carolina list is Lincolnton High’s Jalaythan Mayfield, a four-star linebacker. Mayfield ranks 65th nationally and fifth overall at his position. He finished the 2024 campaign with 103 tackles, 18 tackles-for-loss, 10 sacks and two fumble returns for touchdowns.
The other national top 100 players from the Old North State include cornerback Xavier Hasan (Raleigh | Cardinal Gibbons) and defensive tackle Nathaneal Kamba (Charlotte | Corvian Community School).
Hasan, who ranks 76th nationally, made seven interceptions a year ago and returned a kickoff for a touchdown. Kamba, who ranks 92nd, had five tackles in the 1A state championship game against Tarboro and finished with 26 TFLs on the season.
Millbrook and reigning 4A East Region champion Rolesville High each put two players in On3’s top 300 list. Millbrook linebacker Quinton Cypher comes in at No. 109, fifth in the state. Rolesville wide receiver Anthony Roberts is eighth in North Carolina and 162nd nationally. Teammate Marquise Bryant, a safety, is listed ninth in NC and 193rd among the top 300.
Other On3 top 300 players from North Carolina include tight end Jaxon Dollar (Denver | East Lincoln HS), safety Davion Jones (Charlotte | West Charlotte HS) and tight end Qualteau Hawkins (Cramerton | Cramer HS). Dollar ranks 133rd, Jones 138th and Hawkins 284th.
On3 considers nine of the 10 North Carolina players to be four-star prospects. Hawkins is a three-star. None of the 10 have announced commitments to college programs, though all are drawing Division I attention and receiving offers.
