The Carolina Panthers have their initial roster in place as the 2026 regular season approaches.
Carolina has already made several moves since setting its initial 53-man roster, including adding offensive lineman Corey Bullock and linebacker Bobby Okereke. The Panthers also have players on various reserve lists and have begun filling out their practice squad.
The Panthers open the regular season Sunday, Sept. 13, when they host the Chicago Bears.
What to Know About the Panthers Roster
- Haynes King makes it as QB3: The Panthers kept three quarterbacks, with undrafted rookie Haynes King joining Bryce Young and Kenny Pickett on the active roster.
- Carolina goes heavy at tight end: The Panthers kept five tight ends — Darren Waller, Tommy Tremble, Ja’Tavion Sanders, Mitchell Evans and Feleipe Franks — giving Carolina an unusually deep group at the position.
- Three running backs on the active roster: Chuba Hubbard, Jonathon Brooks and AJ Dillon comprise the current active group. Trevor Etienne is among the players listed on Reserve/Injured.
- Claudin Cherelus sticks at linebacker: Cherelus earned a spot in a linebacker group that also includes Devin Lloyd and rookie Jackson Kuwatch.
