Wingate and Virginia Union locked up in a thrilling overtime battle in the opening round of the D2 playoffs this past Saturday. 

The contest went back-and-forth at Irwin Belk Stadium before the visiting Panthers slipped past the Bulldogs 34-31 in overtime. VUU now will go on to face Lenoir-Rhyne in the second round of the postseason.

NC Football News watched the Wingate-Virginia Union game in person and filled up most of a memory card with photos. Here are some of our favorite images from the contest:
