2027 Duke Recruiting Snapshot
June 8, 2026 – Duke adds pair of trench prospects
The Blue Devils strengthened both sides of the line of scrimmage with commitments from Grimsley (N.C.) offensive tackle Gavin Milton and Georgia edge rusher Adriel Rojas.
Milton helped lead Grimsley to a 15-0 record and a second straight NCHSAA state championship while choosing Duke over offers from UNC, NC State, Georgia Tech, Louisville and Pittsburgh. Rojas, a top-75 prospect in Georgia according to 247Sports, recorded 67 tackles and six tackles for loss during his junior season.
June 6, 2026 – Busy Weekend for the Blue Devils
Duke got the summer visit season off to a roaring start, adding six commitments between May 29 and June 4, including Southern Durham safety Lance Henderson and Georgia running back Javarris Warner. The surge pushed the Blue Devils to 13 public commitments and helped solidify one of the ACC’s larger 2027 classes thus far.
Duke’s recent recruiting surge shows the Blue Devils are casting a wide geographic net while continuing to protect their home turf. Six commitments in seven days came from six different states. Duke fended off suitors like NC State, UNC, Virginia Tech and others to keep Henderson at home. While he projects as a safety, Henderson has been productive in all phases as a prep player.
December 2025 – Reagan edge King Kalama began Duke’s 2027 class
King Kalama became the first player to commit to Duke’s 2027 recruiting class when he announced his pledge in December 2025. The Reagan High standout from Pfafftown put together a dominant junior season, recording 88 tackles, 29.5 tackles-for-loss and nine sacks while helping the Raiders win 10 games and reach the second round of the NCHSAA playoffs.
