The high school football season is still a month away, but a number of rising seniors from North Carolina schools have already announced college plans.

Committed to Virginia Tech … Had more than two dozen D1 offers … recorded 12 sacks last season … earned a three-star ranking for recruiting services Rivals and 247Sports.
WR/ATH Nare Means (Cary | Panther Creek HS)
Committed to Charlotte … the son of former UNC and NFL star running back Natrone Means played in 10 games a year ago, recording 1,028 all-purpose yards, 57 receptions, 967 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.
